Ferdinando Principiano Barolo Serralunga 2017 - SOLD OUT

The Principiano estate is located right in the epic Piemonte's Langhe Hills, founded by Ferdinando's father, Americo (in the 1950s) Ferdinando took over for his father in the 90s. A truly family-run property, the estate is now biodynamically farmed, and there is no sulphur used in the cellar. The 'Serralunga' is their entry-level Barolo from a small plot of young Nebbiolo in Serralunga d'Alba sub-region. These wines are small production, partially due to low yields to ensure excellent quality. It is rare to find natural Barolo let alone entry-level Barolo of such quality that is approachable and ready to drink now. Notes of raspberries, rose petals, cherry, menthol, mushrooms, and thyme. Medium body with soft yet present tannins, this is the perfect past wine! Drink this beauty with sausage-baked ziti, porcini pappardelle, or lamb ragu!
