The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs d'Ay is all 2004 juice with 7 grams of dosage. The wine is simply beautiful in its expression of flowers, sweet herbs, white peaches, minerals and rosemary. This medium-bodied Champagne possesses excellent depth and a long, haunting finish. Like many 2004 and 2004-based Champagnes, this bottling reveals a subtle streak of greenness that lurks in the background, along with slightly coarse tannins that detract from what is otherwise a gorgeous bottle of wine. This bottle was disgorged April 6th, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2014.
