It is a well-known fact that Burgundy is one of the most beloved wine regions of France. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes show their full potential in the climate and soil diversity throughout the region. Maison Nicolas Potel has built its reputation as a negociant business that was founded in 1997 with no vineyard ownership. This producer makes wines from some of the most highly regarded vineyard plots in Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune while also accessing multiple Grand Crus and Premier Cru vineyards such as Corton, Charmes-Chambertin, and Echezeaux, just to name a few. In 2004, due to lack of capital, Nicolas sold the business to the Cottin Brothers of Labouré-Roi and has since moved on to develop his own Domaine de Bellene in Beaune.
