Their wines lie on the extreme edge of modern winemaking, with an opulence that comes from ripeness and dense, polished tannins; they also feature strong smoky, creamy vanilla and mocha accents from French oak. It’s a seductive interplay of plump grapes and jazzy oak, seen elsewhere in California but also in Washington and Australia, Spain, and Portugal.”
