Located on the top of Spring Mountain, this wine estate produces small lots of about six wines annually. The winery was originally founded in 1993 as Behrens & Hitchcock Winery, but changed their name in 2005 when the Behrens family became the sole proprietor. Every year the portfolio changes slightly depending on the growing season, but the family tries to make recurring wines including the Merlot-forward Front Man, Cabernet Sauvignon-based Homeland, and a few others from chosen vineyards. The name Erna Schein on the label is a dedication to the mother of one of the winemakers who worked in the hospitality industry. With quirky and unique label art, the wines are just as appetizing as the labels are interesting.
