Today, Benchmark wants to highlight two outstanding producers in the Burgundy region: The Georges Roumier estate and Domaine Dujac.
Georges Roumier is a prestigious winery known for producing some of the most refined and in-demand wines in the Cote d’Or region. They specialize in Chambolle Musigny, Les Amoureuses, Bonnes Mares, Clos Vougeot, Musigny, and Morey St. Denis. The winemaker, Christophe Roumier, has a great talent for creating beautifully balanced and sensual wines, even in difficult vintages. Their wines are known for being bright, concentrated, elegant, and true to the terroir.
Domaine Dujac is another highly respected winery that the Seysses family has been managing since the 1960s and has established themselves as a true icon in the region. Between their environmentally friendly and biodynamic vineyard management and innovative winemaking techniques, they have created some of the most graceful wines in Cote d’Or. The estate is now run by Jeremy Seysses, and his wife Diana Snowden, who is a U.C. Davis enology graduate and previously worked in the Napa Valley.
Between these two producers we offer an impressive selection of rare older vintages and current releases for your enjoyment, so take a look at the list below and get ready to take a part of Burgundy home with you!
