DRC wines express their site, their pedigree, their nuance and character with such precision and consistency that they are often used as a benchmark example for the concept of terroir. With seven Grand Cru Vineyards (two of which, La Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, are designated as "monopoles” or hailing from a single vineyard and producer), are the rarest wines in the world; no other Domaine that can claim to only produce wine from grand cru sites.
