For over thirty years, this savvy collector committed most of his cellar to California’s “First Growths.” Long-time wine collectors of fine and rare wines tend to focus on specific areas of interest when compiling their cellars, and this recently acquired collection proves that point.

Ahead of his time, he knew early on to get on the most coveted waitlists and acquire his wines directly from the most exclusive and sought-after California cult wineries. He was able to patiently amass an outstanding selection of the absolute finest of California wines, which often resulted in perfect verticals . . . with the most salient vertical in this collection being the Screaming Eagle vertical from 2001 to 2016! And he did not just focus on the Cabernet blends, as he also knew to zero in on the superlative Chardonnay of California, the indomitable Aubert.

While there is an apparent affinity for California wines, he could not pass up some of Bordeaux’s most notable investment-worthy wines, such as Lafite Rothschild, Haut-Bailly, and Mouton Rothschild –to name a few. This cellar has the mark of an A+ collector who knew to do his homework and educate himself on what may prove worthy of unforgettable enjoyment and timeless worth.

Coming from the garden state, this collection was stored professionally in a state of the art temperture-contolled facility. This entire cellar is nearly in pristie condition, backed by Benchmark’s exclusive Provenance Guarantee and will not be on the market long.
