Highly sought-after Barolo and Barbaresco

The Battle of the B's

Barolo may just be the greatest red wine region in Italy. But don’t overlook the wines of Barbaresco. Not unlike Barolo, Barbaresco has loads of structure. You will also find the same lovely notes of roses, tar, leather, herbs and cherries. However Barbaresco is just a bit friendlier. These wines have a definite softer side to the palate.

The “lean and mean” Nebbiolo grape is King in these regions. Extremely sensitive to terroir, the hilltops of Piedmont offer a perfect contrast for Nebbiolo vines; Bounded by the Alps and the Mediterranean with limestone and sandstone soils beneath them. These wines are age-worthy beauties. Whether you reach for the approachable Barbaresco or the powerful Barolo, you are sure to be pleased with our selection below.
