Italy’s Killer B’s – Barolo, Barbaresco, & Brunello

Italy’s most well-known wine regions, Piedmont and Tuscany, are home to the beloved wines of Barolo, Barbaresco and Brunello di Montalcino.

Barolo is widely accepted as one of the most age-worthy wines on the planet, with producers such as Bruno Giacosa, Giacomo Conterno, and Gaja - to name a few! The winemakers in this region have perfected cultivating the Nebbiolo grape.

South of Piedmont is the wine-growing region of Tuscany, in particular, Montalcino. Sangiovese is the only varietal featured in a Brunello, and the wine can only achieve the “Brunello” title if it is produced to the highest of standards.
