Like many collectors, his journey didn’t begin with grand auctions or blue-chip allocations... it started in a Napa Valley tasting room.

At first, the appeal was immediate and familiar: bold, expressive New World wines from Ridge Vineyards, Aubert, Marcassin, and more that delivered richness and power in every glass. But as his palate evolved, so did his curiosity. What began as appreciation quickly turned into exploration.

Over time, that exploration led him across the Atlantic, into the nuance, restraint, and complexity of Old World wines. In Burgundy, Bordeaux, Piedmont and more, he found icons like the DRC La Tache 2009, Lafite Rothschild 2009, Masseto 2016, with each bottle offering something different, something deeper. His collection followed that same trajectory, shifting from fruit-driven intensity to wines defined by terroir, structure, and longevity.
