Located in the heart of the Napa Valley, the Oakville AVA is a strip of land that is about 2 miles wide and extends around 1,000 ft. up into the Vaca mountains and 500 ft. into the Mayacamas. Oakville was originally a steam train stop in the late 1800s and was designated an AVA in 1993. Today, it is known for producing some of the finest wines in the world.
