Ridge Vineyards is secluded and tucked up in the Santa Cruz Hills and has a very low-key, relaxed feel. They produce wine in two locations in California, Monte Bello Ridge in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA and Lytton Springs in the Dry Creek Valley AVA of Sonoma County. Their 1971 Monte Bello Cabernet Sauvignon earned 5th place in the 1976 "Judgement of Paris" tasting. These wines transcend winemaking to show the unmistakable voice of California's most elusive vineyards.
