Anseillan

Anseillan takes its name from a historic hamlet within the Château Lafite Rothschild estate in Pauillac. Situated on a gravel ridge east of the château, the site has been connected to Lafite for centuries and was formally reintegrated into the estate by Élie de Rothschild in 1970.

Produced by the Château Lafite Rothschild team in Lafite’s cellars, Anseillan is an independent wine rather than a second label. The inaugural 2018 vintage was released in 2022, revealing the character of selected parcels surrounding the hamlet through a precise, structured and approachable interpretation of Pauillac.
