Domaine Alary

Domaine Alary traces its roots in Cairanne to 1692, when André Alary settled in the Southern Rhône village and began cultivating the surrounding land. More than three centuries later, the family estate is led by eleventh-generation winegrower Jean-Etienne Alary, who joined his father, Denis, in 2016 after gaining experience in Burgundy, Australia, and New Zealand.

The domaine farms roughly 30 hectares across Cairanne’s hillsides, garrigue terraces, and stone-covered plateaus. Certified organic since 2009, the vineyards are planted primarily to Grenache and Syrah, alongside Mourvèdre and traditional white Rhône varieties. Cuvées including Vieilles Vignes, La Brunote, and L’Estévenas combine ripe fruit and fragrant spice with freshness, refined tannins, and the distinctive character of Cru Cairanne.
