Arador

Arador was founded by Napa Valley winemaker Roberto Alfaro as a tribute to his family’s agricultural roots in Michoacán, Mexico. Its name translates to “the ploughman,” reflecting the generations of farmers who shaped Alfaro’s early connection to the land. After moving to Napa Valley as a teenager, he gained experience at Caldwell Vineyards and Arkenstone before launching his own label.

Working alongside his wife, Carmen, Roberto produces approximately 300 cases annually from selected Napa Valley vineyards. The portfolio includes Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from Coombsville, along with Sauvignon Blanc from the hills near Yountville. Each wine is made in small quantities with an emphasis on balance, expressive fruit and the ability to develop in the cellar.
