Abadía Retuerta

Abadía Retuerta is a historic wine estate located near Sardón de Duero in Spain's Duero Valley. Its viticultural heritage dates to the 12th century, when Premonstratensian monks cultivated vines around the estate's ancient abbey. The modern winery was completed in 1996, combining centuries of winemaking tradition with precise, contemporary production.

The estate cultivates Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and other varieties across vineyard parcels with distinct soils, elevations, and exposures. Its best-known wine, Selección Especial, blends the finest lots from each vintage, while single-vineyard bottlings such as Pago Negralada and Pago Valdebellón highlight individual expressions of the estate. Since 2022, the wines have carried the estate's own Abadía Retuerta Protected Designation of Origin.
