Achával-Ferrer was founded in Mendoza in 1998 with a vision to reveal the character of Argentina's historic Malbec vineyards. The winery focuses on low-yielding, ungrafted vines and minimal-intervention winemaking, allowing the distinctive soils, elevations, and climates of each vineyard to shape the finished wines.
The estate is best known for its trio of single-vineyard Malbecs: Finca Bella Vista in Perdriel, Finca Mirador in Medrano, and Finca Altamira in the Uco Valley. Each comes from an old-vine site and offers a distinct expression of Mendoza Malbec. The portfolio also includes Mendoza Malbec and Quimera, a complex, Malbec-led blend inspired by Bordeaux varieties.
