Antica Napa Valley was established by the Antinori family, whose winemaking history in Tuscany extends across more than six centuries. Marchese Piero Antinori first visited Napa Valley in the 1960s, and his vision took shape with the acquisition of a remote mountain property in 1985. The family assumed full ownership of the estate in 1993.

Now known as Antinori Napa Valley, the estate occupies high-elevation vineyards on the volcanic slopes of Atlas Peak. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc thrive in the rugged mountainside parcels, while cooler sites are suited to Chardonnay. The wines unite the structure and concentration of Napa Valley mountain fruit with the refinement associated with the Antinori family.
