Agricola Punica

Agricola Punica was founded in 2002 through a collaboration between Tenuta San Guido, the estate behind Sassicaia, Cantina Santadi, winemaker Sebastiano Rosa, Antonello Pilloni, and legendary Italian oenologist Giacomo Tachis. The project was inspired by Tachis’s belief in the remarkable potential of Sardinia’s Sulcis region and its historic Carignano vineyards.

The estate’s best-known wines, Barrua and Montessu, place Carignano at the center of polished blends with international grape varieties. Sardinia’s warm Mediterranean climate, cooling maritime influence, and sandy, clay-rich soils produce wines with concentrated fruit, savory complexity, supple tannins, and a distinctive sense of place.
