Domaine Alain Chavy

Domaine Alain Chavy was established in 2003 after Alain and his brother, Jean-Louis, divided the vineyards of their father, Gérard Chavy. Based in Puligny-Montrachet, Alain farms approximately 17 acres, primarily within the village, with additional holdings in neighboring Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet.

The domaine’s portfolio includes Puligny-Montrachet village wines and acclaimed Premier Cru sites such as Les Pucelles and Clavoillon, along with a limited Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru. Fermentation and maturation take place in Puligny’s deepest underground cellar, where cool conditions encourage gradual development. Restrained oak and minimal bâtonnage preserve the wines’ freshness, mineral character, and long-term aging potential.
