Aeris Wines

Aeris Wines was created by the team behind Rhys Vineyards to explore the potential of Italy's most distinctive grape varieties. After establishing vineyards on Mount Etna in Sicily and working with Italian viticultural and winemaking specialists, the team brought that experience to California's northern Sonoma County.

In 2013, Aeris planted Centennial Mountain Vineyard on a high-elevation volcanic ridgeline near the Rockpile and Dry Creek Valley appellations. The vineyard became home to rare California plantings of Carricante, Nerello Mascalese, and Nebbiolo. Beginning with the 2021 vintage, the project shifted exclusively to estate-grown California wines and adopted the name Centennial Mountain Vineyard, bringing the Aeris label to a close.
