The Third Twin

The Third Twin is an estate project from Manfred and Elaine Krankl, the founders of Sine Qua Non. Its name refers to their vineyard near Los Alamos in Santa Barbara County, joining the Krankls’ other estate sites, Eleven Confessions and Cumulus.

The vineyard is planted primarily to Rhône varieties, with Mourvèdre playing a particularly important role alongside Syrah and Grenache. Produced in extremely limited quantities, The Third Twin wines reflect the Krankls’ distinctive approach through powerful fruit, layered complexity and highly individual expressions that have become coveted among collectors.
