Clos Vougeot is the largest single vineyard Grand Cru designation in the Côte de Nuits. This vineyard is situated right in the center of the Cote de Nuits and has distinguished neighbors such as Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanee, and Grand Echezeaux.  Enclosed by walls built by monks in 1100 AD and housing a château with wine presses dating back to the 12th and 14th centuries! the history of this site is impressive!
